Of German and Mexican descent, Megan Ewing is the second of three children and the only daughter of Albert Robert Ewing and Celia Perez.citation needed Before her forays into fashion, she went to grade school in her hometown of Brady, Texas, a city of 5,000.
A 5'9" brunette, Ewing got her start in the world of modeling when she answered a newspaper ad for a model search in San Angelo, Texas and was then discovered at a Model Search America convention in Dallas. Initially signed by Clipse Management, she moved on to Marilyn Agency in New York shortly after.
Ewing's career began with a campaign for Abercrombie & Fitch and print work for magazines including Spanish Vogue, Votre Beaute, and Harper's Bazaar, although it wouldn't be until she followed in the footsteps of Laetitia Casta and Claudia Schiffer by joining Adriana Lima as a Guess? girl in the spring of 2001 that her profile would rise. After several seasonal campaigns for Paul Marciano and Co. and working for companies like Victoria's Secret, Mango, La Perla, and Aeropostale over two years, Ewing took a short sabbatical from modeling in the United States, parted with Clipse Management, and appeared in several catalogs in Europe. In 2004, she joined Marilyn Agency, appeared in Glamour magazine, and modeled for the Newport News catalog in the fall.
She also appeared Lenny Kravitz's "Believe in Me" music video.
Ewing later quit modeling as she gave birth to her son in 2002-2003.
