Robert Charles Edner (born October 5, 1988) is an American actor, singer, and rapper. He is currently a member of the boy band Varsity Fanclub.

Biography

Bobby Edner was born to Bob and Cindy Edner in Downey, California. His younger sister is actress Ashley Edner.

Edner's first credit was in 1997, as "Chip" in a straight-to-video Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen release. After bit parts on various television shows, he made his first film appearance in 1999's The Muse, in the role of "Boy at Sarah's House". Since then he has made numerous guest appearances on TV shows including Charmed, Judging Amy, 7th Heaven, and Veronica Mars. Edner hasn't had many roles since 2002; his most recent credit was a starring turn as Crystal Bernard's son in Welcome to Paradise, in 2007.

He has also done some voice work, providing additional ADR in films like Agent Cody Banks, Kangaroo Jack, and Monsters, Inc., and was the English-language voice of Final Fantasy XII character Vaan. Edner has also worked in commercials.

Edner is a former member of the Hollywood Knights celebrity basketball team,^{citation needed} and the NBA Entertainment League (NBAE), assigned to the Bulls roster.¹ In 2008, he was the youngest player in the league.²

Dancing and music career

Edner's dancing landed him a featured role—dancing like Michael Jackson—in the music video for Alien Ant Farm's cover version of "Smooth Criminal"; he appeared in Jennifer Lopez's "Ain't It Funny", as well.^{citation needed}

Edner duetted with Alexa Vega on the song "Heart Drive" from the film Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over. He was also an original member of the pop group NLT, but quit the band soon after its formation.^{citation needed} He is currently a member of the boy band Varsity Fanclub. He also co-wrote a song with Ryan Cabrera.^{citation needed}
